Updates: College, Driving, Summer & More 0
Hiyuhhhh! Sorry I’ve not blogged for a few weeks. After the snow went away, we’ve been two weeks behind schedule with our assignments so we’ve been having to work really hard on them. Our ‘semester’ finishes this week coming up, after that our timetable will change & we’ll be doing different subjects (apart from the three core subjects that we’ll be having throughout the year).
So, I shall catch you up on some things! Right, I’ll start with college as I already have piled it in the first paragraph. As I said the snow has made us behind schedule therefore we’ve been having to cram in so many assignments, before the semester ends this week. I had a sneak peek at our timetable and found out that we’ll be having Friday’s off! Sweet, I”ll be having long weekends, whilst the other days stay practically the same!
Though of course I won’t be having long weekends, I should hopefully be getting a job to fill up Friday, maybe. I’m applying to work at the local theatre as ‘Front Of Theatre/Events Team’. Next weekend the interviews and everything are being held, all I have to take is an updated version of my CV. Unsure about whats going to happen, or if I want to do it, but I’m going to go anyway! I’m hoping ‘Front Of Theatre/House’ (one of the two haha) is you know, the ushers and whatnot who give out icecream and ensure the public know where they’re sitting.
My family have also decided on going to New England for our summer holiday. This will be the first ever holiday that I’m going on without my brothers. It’s going to be weird, but ah well. We’re thinking of going to Boston, New York, Toronto & see the Niagara Falls; but this is all in the early stages, we don’t officially know where we’re going to go within New England – but I’m hoping New York definitely.
Something else that is in the early stages is another thing my family have been discussing on; changing the upstairs of our house. This includes all the flooring, my parents bedroom, my brothers bedroom, my bedroom & the little study that is sort of useless now as no one is ever in it (apart from my brother with his computer but he’s working most days so its only like 2 hours a day). So I guess I shall explain some of the things, well my bedroom is one of the main areas as I’ve been the only one who has lived here my entire life, and not moved around, and I’ve always been the one with the smallest room. We’re thinking about knocking down the wall between my room & the little study (if we can) and extending my room like that, but we don’t know if we can knock it down – we’re also thinking of taking down the fitted furniture in my room (which I hate), my parents want fitted furniture in their room & in my brothers room. Oh and the whole entire floor to be changed, as its all getting scruffy and worn. Theres plenty more changes, but I think I’ll go more indepth in the February half-term when we start thinking more about it.
Oh! I was about to finish this here, but I just remembered; I’ve restarted driving (yippee). I’ve changed to automatic (omg lifesaver!) and it’s so much easier & everything. I was rubbish at manual at the junctions, roundabouts and everything as there was too much to think about with having to change gears and whatnot. Automatic’s are much more easier, I wish my parents listened to me sooner, as I’ve been learning to drive since late 2008, you’d think they would have noticed that I’m finding it impossible when it’s taken longer than a year. But alas, we went car-looking yesterday, and the only car I really liked out of the bunch we saw & I tried out was the Renault Clio, sadly its £1000 out of our price range; it was £6999 & we are only going up to £6000! But anyway, we’ve put ourselves on the register incase anything new comes in.
Whew, I can now breathe now. I’ve got everything uptodate & to finish this off I can now explain the image up at the top of this blog; I have indeed got a new ‘tubez video up which you can view here.
PS: I really need to blog more often so that these aren’t as long, I need to bring back doing it properly :’)
